The Orquesta Filarmónica del Café in the company of the JEC Children's Choir Artistic and Cultural Training of Comfamiliar Risaralda and the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira Symphonic Choir presented 'Carmina Burana', by the German composer and orchestrator Carl Orff, one of the most recognized lyrical works in the world.
Composed in 1936, 'Carmina Burana' is a cantata based on medieval poems from the 12th and 13th centuries found by the German historian and librarian Johann Christoph von Aretin in the Benediktbeuern Abbey (Germany) in 1803. < /p>
Poems that talk about the interest of earthly pleasure, carnal love and the enjoyment of nature that, orchestrated by Orff, give a vibrant and powerful sound, resulting in a concert dramatic, persuasive and unforgettable.
The performances were held on November 25 and 26 at the Santiago Londoño Theater in the city of Pereira at 7:00 p.m.
